I received projectiles with some visual staining. Is this normal, and will it affect performance?
Occasionally, you may notice cosmetic staining, particularly with hollow-point projectiles. This can happen when water becomes trapped in the hollow point during the cleaning process and is not fully removed during the drying and polishing stages. As a result, staining may appear after the final packaging. Rest assured, this issue is purely cosmetic and does not affect the projectile’s performance, accuracy, or safety.
If the appearance of the projectiles is a concern, and you're comfortable with a DIY approach, you can restore their polished finish by using corn media in a vibratory tumbler. Alternatively, you can set them aside to use as fowlers during your next shooting session, as the staining will not impact their functionality. While we strive to catch and remove any projectiles with cosmetic staining during our packaging process, a few may occasionally pass through our checks. If you prefer, or if the staining is more noticeable than you find acceptable, please feel free to reach out to our customer support team, and we’ll be happy to assist you.
