If your tracking information shows that your package was delivered but you cannot locate it, it is important to act quickly. Many packages reported as missing are ultimately located within a day or two of the delivery scan.
Check around your property
Before reporting the package as missing, thoroughly inspect all possible delivery locations.
- Front door, back door, and side entrances.
- Porches, patios, garages, and outbuildings.
- Behind furniture, planters, decorations, or other concealed locations.
- With family members, roommates, or anyone who may have accepted the package.
- With neighbors in case the package was delivered nearby by mistake.
If the package cannot be located, allow up to two business days. Carriers occasionally mark packages as delivered before the final delivery is completed.
Contact the carrier immediately
If you have thoroughly checked for the package and it is still missing, contact the carrier directly as soon as possible.
Carriers often have access to information that is not available through public tracking, including delivery notes, driver information, delivery photos, and GPS delivery coordinates.
For USPS shipments, we strongly recommend visiting your local post office with your tracking number. Local postal employees can often determine where the package was delivered and may be able to contact the carrier who completed the delivery.
For UPS shipments, contact UPS Customer Service and request a delivery investigation.
If the carrier cannot locate the package
If the carrier is unable to locate the shipment after their initial investigation, please open a support ticket and provide any information you received from the carrier.
When you contact us, we can request additional delivery information from the carrier, including GPS delivery coordinates when available. These coordinates can often identify the exact location where the package was scanned as delivered.
Understanding your delivery responsibility
Signature confirmation provides the strongest chain of custody between the carrier and the recipient. Orders that ship with signature confirmation provide documented proof that the package was physically accepted by the recipient or an authorized individual.
If a shipment is delivered without a signature requirement, the carrier may leave the package at the delivery address without obtaining a signature. Once the carrier confirms delivery, responsibility for the package may be subject to the delivery option selected and the carrier's delivery policies.
The sooner a missing delivery is reported to the carrier, the greater the likelihood that the package can be located and successfully recovered.
